We here at Roll Britannia are very excited because today marks a thrilling milestone in the realm of brick-based adventures and fantasy gaming with the unveiling of a brand-new, eagerly anticipated set from LEGO, celebrating the legendary Dungeons & Dragons game. As we commemorate the 50th anniversary of Dungeons & Dragons, LEGO introduces its first-ever set inspired by this iconic role-playing game, bringing together a community of fans and builders to celebrate the occasion.

The spotlight shines on the LEGO Ideas Dungeons & Dragons: Red Dragon’s Tale, a set that encapsulates the essence of adventure, fantasy, and the creative spirit that defines both LEGO and Dungeons & Dragons. This set, with its impressive 3,745 pieces, invites adults and fans aged 18 and over to construct their very own piece of the Forgotten Realms, the legendary setting many Dungeons & Dragons campaigns call home.

Designed by the creative mind of Lucas Bolt from Amsterdam, also known to the building community as BoltBuilds, this set emerged victorious from a crowd of over 600 submissions. LEGO fans worldwide were challenged to bring the Dungeons & Dragons universe to life using LEGO bricks, a task met with enthusiasm and imagination.

Included in the set are meticulously crafted minifigures representing classic characters such as the Orc Rogue, Gnome Fighter, Elf Wizard, and Dwarf Cleric, alongside mythical creatures like the beholder, owlbear, and displacer beast. Dominating the set is the formidable Cinderhowl, a red dragon that wraps menacingly around the tower, ready to challenge any who dare approach.

For those looking to dive deeper into the Dungeons & Dragons world, a unique adventure book has been crafted through a collaboration between the LEGO Group and Wizards of the Coast. This book offers a new way to experience the game, available as a free digital download for LEGO Insiders or as a collectible paperback and you should be able to find more information about it on the sets release at D&D Beyond.
