Becoming A Dungeon Master with UK Games Expo
I’m Sophie (River), and I’ve decided to take on the challenge of running my first D&D game as a Dungeon Master. In six months’ time, I’ll be sitting at the table at the UK Games Expo 2025, guiding a group of players through a D&D adventure. It’s daunting, but it’s something I’ve wanted to do for years.
To prepare, I’ll be talking to some of the best Dungeon Masters in the business, performers who know how to command attention, and people steeped in the history and culture of D&D. This isn’t just about mechanics or storytelling—it’s about figuring out what it really means to run a game well.
